We played the brand spanking new course today!

It's great fun, but bloody tough.

Had a few rounds and was soundly beaten by Coach and Nick. I didn't better my Swedish Felt PB  But did get some good practice in. Some really interesting holes - my favourite is the 5th http://twitpic.com/11yb0r - Got a great video of Emily laying up for a two!?

I used the course ball and putters (had a few rounds with one of the City Golf 'Pro' Putters that Nick has at the course too, and a few with a standard metal Putter).

Had a good chat wih Nick too, and he is keen to get involved with the BMGA and hold a competition.

Will definitely be back for more practice/punishment.

More photos and videos and a course review to follow.

As far as I'm concerned, if we can get it, this has to be the course for the London Open. I'll speak to the new London captain, Steve Gow, and see what he says

Just played it before work at Blackheath this evening - what a gem!
My first experience of minigolf sport with a +11 ouch! Some lovely holes and some real buggers! We must make use of this international standard facility - a British felt champs and national squad training.

That's defeatist talk.

It'll be a Kelly/Gottfried one-two again this year (with me 1st)!

Young man, you need another lesson! Simple is beautiful! And there is nothing simpler in minigolf than feltgolf, if you can hit the ball straight. Look at Rocky's results in Budapest 2008. So I see your chances growing, since you will start practising that hard straight shot on the living room floor at home...NOW!

This is brilliant news!

I'm really looking forward to visiting the course though I dread to think what my score will be... I found Swedish Felt extremely tough even when I played minigolf regularly.

Yes, it would be great if this course could host a tournament. London Open this year and then... who knows... British Championship in 2011???

I arrived yesterday with a lot of baggage, horrible memories of Bad Munder and 4 kids. Captain Chaos, Major Mayhem and my nephew and niece.
Tough course! Tough tough course!! Shock horror, I actually enjoyed it. I wasn't expecting that.
Many thanks Nick for the round, the perfect host. I only managed one, too much chatting, praccying and dealing with the kids.
I shot a 40 using specialist equipment, no Squire I did not use course equipment, Nick did though. Included 4x3's, 1x4 & 2 aces.
Not bad, considering it's the first time I've picked up a putter since the KO.
Toughest hole - 15.
Easiest - 18.
Looking forward to beating you all in the British Swedish Felt Championships. :D
BTW It has an excellent viewing gallery.

Popped over to the course today to have a chat with Nick about a few tournament options for 2010 as well as picking up the NIFO equipment order (for those that ordered stuff and are playing at the weekend this will all be going over to New Malden on Saturday morning ready for payment and collection - will email you all seperately with details).

And of course couldn't resist having a couple of rounds with Nick (in the hardest mode - the true test of a players mettle). Nick took the honours in round 1 with a record equalling 39 (took me a good 9 holes to warm up)... then I took the spoils in the 2nd round with a 38. Top course, great company and a great way to get some practice in advance of the Masters!
